Myths and Facts About Tobaccer
Many people believe very different things about tobacco. Some people may tell you that cigarrettes are a problem that only adults have to deal with. Some people may tell you that smoking can help with weight loss, thereby making it somewhat health. There are those who even believe that smoking isn’t a drug problem, since it’s legal for adults. Those are all myths however; the fact is, tobacco in any ingestient form is unhealthy and a problem for anyone of any age.
To those who believe that cigarrettes are only for adults, that is totally false. Actually, the average smoker begins developing their bad habits at the age of 13. Furthermore, the median age of smokeless/spit tobacco users is 17 years of age. Most new users don’t wait until it’s legal for them to partake.
Some uniformed smokers may think that they are helping their diet by smoking. This is not true, however. The idea that smoking helps users lose weight is actually propaganda made up by smoking advertisement agencies in the mid 1900’s. These days, smoking ad. agencies aren’t allowed to tell those lies, allowing the real truth to come out: only a 1/3 of people who smoking find that they are losing weight. If someone really wanted to lose weight and live a healthy life, they should put down the cigarette and clock in some miles.
Finally, there’s the myth that smoking isn’t a drug problem. This couldn’t be more incorrect. Biology defines a “drug” as anything that changes the state of the mind. The state of the mind is constantly changing, though. Therefore, everything is a drug. In terms of habit forming, dangerous drugs that put the user at risk, tobacco products are filled with them. There’s a chemical found in tobacco products called nicotine, which is habit forming so the user developes a physiological need for the product. There’s actually upwards of 40 chemicals found in cigarettes, in combination, these are carinogenic.
In conclusion, many people are confused when it comes to tobacco products. There’s many myths out there that will convince users that tobacco is ok. The fact is, tobacco products are healthy in any ingestient form.

Carcinogens
Carcinogens are the cause for many health problems. In young adults especially, bad habits lead to carcinogen intake, which may lead to permanent problems later on in the future. Carcinogens may come from many different sources and cause many different problems.
The most common source of cancer related death comes from tobacco products(1). Products such as cigarettes, dip, and snus are very popular carcinogen related substances. Cigarettes in particular are most often the cause of unnatural cancers in the body. With all the dangerous chemicals in cigarettes, it’s easy to see why cancer is so common in smokers.
Cancer is one of the most common causes of death among middle-aged people (2). Cancer occurs when the cells aren’t able to die as fast as they split up through mitosis. Cancer in the lungs is often caused by cigarette smoke. Lung cancer can lead to severe problems throughout the lifetime of anyone who has it, including death.
The best way for smokers to reduce their chances of getting lung cancer is to quit smoking (3). Carcinogens occur in many different places, but with each cigarette, the chances of getting cancer increase. Living a healthy, smoke-free lifestyle is the anyone’s best chance at avoiding cancers.
